Our Partnership with Education Software Solutions
We are thrilled to have extended our partnership with Education Software Solutions (ESS) to make it even easier for FE Colleges to integrate their MIS with our Award-Winning Safeguarding Solutions! Read more now.
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve decided to extend our partnership with ESS beyond the school sector and into further education.
This will allow MyConcern to seamlessly integrate with UNIT-e, ESS’s management information system (MIS) for sixth form and further education colleges. ESS supports 1 in 3 colleges in the UK and has over 30 years of experience in the further education sector. Paired with MyConcern Safeguarding Software, UNIT-e will help colleges to develop a much more comprehensive understanding of the concerns affecting young people and vulnerable adults in their care.
This exciting step forward will enable FE establishments to easily integrate with MyConcern, facilitating the secure and accurate recording, reporting and management of all safeguarding, pastoral and wellbeing concerns about young people and adults at risk in their care. This will prove to be especially useful as more students return to college following the easing of Covid-19 remote-learning restrictions. MyConcern Safeguarding Software will be able to support college staff in managing the impact of the pandemic on students in terms of their mental health and wellbeing, as well as enabling them to identify and intervene with abusive environments.
Colleges using MyConcern will be able to manage their safeguarding responsibilities effectively on any web-enabled device, both onsite and from field-based locations. MyConcern also has a companion app to facilitate easy and secure reporting of concerns on the go. Senior leaders benefit from an instant and up-to-date overview of all safeguarding concerns at the click of a button and the ability to clearly identify trends. They can also easily assess and demonstrate the impact of their safeguarding interventions.
Andy Bennett, ESS Chief Executive Officer, said: “Student wellbeing is now more important than ever. Colleges need to be able to respond to the additional pressures some young people may feel due to the pandemic and lockdown home learning. MyConcern offers a timely solution to a very real issue.”
Mike Glanville, Chief Safeguarding Officer at The Safeguarding Company, explained: “The impact of the pandemic on young people is likely to be significant and it is only the tip of the iceberg. The safeguarding responsibilities on colleges in the wake of this is huge and they have a major part to play in supporting their students in being able to tackle these issues. We know that many young people are experiencing mental health issues, have been exposed to online abuse and may even be in poverty and feeling very isolated due to recent events. We’re delighted to be able to offer UNIT-e customers access to MyConcern, and to be supporting them in their commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of their students."
