King's Group

Author: Sean Corrigan, Data Systems Manager

The Challenge

King’s Group owns and operates 10 British international schools worldwide. Together, these schools deliver the English National Curriculum to over 4500 children and young people aged between 3 and 18 years. Each school within the group attracts a broad selection of nationalities, catering for both British families overseas and local families.

The paper-based safeguarding methods which were in place before MyConcern made it difficult for staff to track pupil information and lacked the ability to provide a high-level overview. The manual processes associated with paper systems also meant that timelines were difficult to maintain.

The Solution - MyConcern

King’s Group were looking for a system that would offer consistent reporting, as well as greater control of data and information management. They wanted to be able to create reports and share data easily at group level to identify needs within their schools and inform decisions. After hearing about MyConcern they decided that this would be the best fit for them.

"As CEO and Safeguarding Governor, MyConcern has enabled me to monitor the quality of safeguarding provision across our schools. The software allows us to continually monitor and review our provisions ensuring pupil welfare is at the forefront of our agenda. "

Elena Benito COO and Spain MD, Kings Group (Now Part of Inspired Education)

Implementing MyConcern

Staff at King’s Group find MyConcern manageable and simple to use. The system holds confidential information securely, but also allows this to be shared appropriately with members of staff or trusted external agencies.

As well as having MyConcern in use at every school, King’s Group use MyConcern’s Multi-Establishment Data Dashboard (MEDD) at group level. This MEDD allows the group to quickly and easily review safeguarding trends across all of their schools in one place.

Outcomes

  • Information can be shared securely and with ease
  • Staff can easily log all concerns creating a more accurate overview of each student
  • Staff can effectively identify and respond to any well-being concerns
  • Safeguarding and pastoral records are now consistent between all of the schools within King’s Group

"MyConcern has made a significant impact on our ability to identify and respond to safeguarding needs and issues throughout our group of British International Schools worldwide. "

Dawn Akyurek Chief Academic Officer, King's Group (now part of Inspired Education)
