Weymouth FE College
Author: Sue Dafter. Designated Safeguarding Lead

The Challenge
Weymouth College caters for over 3000 learners from all over the UK and worldwide. Safeguarding is crucial in all aspects of the college’s activities and courses.
Safeguarding concerns can often become time-consuming, especially when dealing with such a large number of students as this.
Weymouth College wanted a system that would save them time and allow them to continue to exceed legal and government requirements.

The Solution - MyConcern
Weymouth College heard about MyConcern and decided that the safeguarding software would meet their requirements. They hoped that MyConcern would reduce staff time, minimise paper records and provide a robust and efficient system for managing safeguarding in a Further Education (FE) environment.
With MyConcern, FE establishments can be confident that they have the right solution in place to effectively manage and record all safeguarding concerns.

Implementing MyConcern
Collating statistics and data for the governors takes time. Previously, Weymouth College had to rely on other departments to help provide the data.
MyConcern allows safeguarding leads at the college to access data directly, giving them the option to choose what data they use and how they use it.
Governors at Weymouth College have been highly satisfied with the calibre of the End of Year Reports presented to them.
