In this session, our safeguarding experts will discuss some practical approaches to handling incidents such as bullying, recording and managing concerns and spotting patterns so you can act proactively. We're thrilled to be joined by integrative counsellor Alka Maher who brings more than 10 years of experience working in the UK's National Health Service as well as giving us her international perspective as she is currently based in Qatar with DSL responsibilities for ACS International School Doha.

Meet our speakers
Sarah was a Safeguarding training for The Safeguarding Company responsible for delivering a variety of our safeguarding courses. Sarah is training to be a counsellor and is also certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid.
Sarah’s background is in independent schools where she has worked as Head of Safeguarding and Boarding and as a Teacher and Mentor. She has over 11 years’ experience of working with children from all different backgrounds, children with specific needs and from different cultures.
Alka Maher is an Integrative Counsellor who has been working in international Schools for a number of years. She feels passionately about mental health and promoting positive wellbeing. Alka is also a designated safeguarding Lead at her school.
Alka previously has over 10 years of experience working within the NHS and specifically with clients who suffer from anxiety and depression.
