The Cost of Unhealthy Competition
The Damaging Nature of Peer Pressure
In this webinar, our guest speaker Jenny Tomei discussed the various side effects that excessive exercise and unhealthy diet choices can have on our overall health. Jenny examined the different risk factors for athletes and young people when it comes to eating disorders (and how to spot the early signs), plus, a condition called RED-S (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport).
This webinar is suitable for anyone working with young adults as it will discuss how the competition between peer groups can be damaging physically and mentally. Jenny provided some practical guidance on how to address these various issues through early intervention strategies, especially within sports clubs as well as schools and colleges.
